The Zing is the newest addition to Kershaw’s “first generation” Zings designed by RJ Martin. To begin with, this Zing is all stainless steel, from pointed tip to handle butt. Just smooth, sleek, bead-blasted steel all the way down. The blade is made of high-quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, heat treated to Kershaw specifications, bringing out the very best strength, hardness and ability to take and hold a wicked edge. The modified drop-point design offers superior slicing and utility capabilities. Giving the Zing even more zing, SpeedSafe assisted opening enables smooth one-handed opening. Simply pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the blade moves out of the handle with ease. The Zing’s SpeedSafe feature can also be activated with a simple push on the thumbstud. The Zing is slimmer than previous Zings and rides even more comfortably in the pocket thanks to the frame lock construction. The handle is drilled so the pocketclip can be positioned for tip-up or tip-down carry.
